The report is one of the
most extensive efforts yet to document the teleradiology services of
hospital and medical facilities in this region. The report includes
analysis and interpretation, as well as a summary of the findings
generated from this first regional survey. It also includes an appendix
providing technological guidelines for implementing a teleradiology
program.
The
report includes comprehensive information on teleradiology services being
offered and the geographic distribution of programs within Arizona,
Southern California, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada. The study
examines the clinical settings where radiology is practiced, the
telecommunications services, providers and equipment types being used most
often, and the key obstacles programs face in implementing teleradiology.
